Halloween Poetry Cafe
29th October 2018, 7:30pm - 10:00pm, Garden Cafe, 16 Stony St, Frome BA11 1BU
October is going to be a richly ripe month for poetry fans, writes Crysse Morrison, the splendid host of Frome's Poetry Cafe, which, on October 29th will have a spooky Halloween theme.
The guest poets are Paul Tobin whose new poetry collection All Yesterday's Tomorrows was previewed at this year's 2000 Trees Festival, plus the 2018 'Frome Festival Poet Laureate' Shauna Robertson with me, Dawn Gorman, sharing our short collaborative 'call and response' set on a theme of Restraint and Release.
There'll also be the much-loved Open Mic, for your poems, with snacks and drinks on sale, all for just £2 at the Garden Cafe.
Halloween isn't just pumpkins and witches - in Mexico it's the Day of the Dead with flamboyant macabre costumes so bring your wildest imaginations as the year turns from summer to winter - party dress optional but feel free!
I look forward to seeing you there!
