I'll be reading the 'found' poems I create during the week at this informal event at Trowbridge Town Hall.

Dying Matters film show

12th May 2017, 10:00am - 12:00pm, Trowbridge Town Hall

On the week commencing Monday May 8th, I'll be working with death... not in a Terry Pratchett sort of way, but as part of Dying Matters week in Trowbridge, alongside Elizabeth Snell & Family Funeral Service. The idea is to get people talking freely and in a relaxed way about the thing which we can all be 100 per cent sure of, but which in our culture is such an unmentionable - death. If you had an envelope containing the date and manner of your death, would you open it?... anything from that kind of philosophical question, to the, erm, down-to-earth practicalities of the whole question of dying. There are three drop-in cafe sessions at the Town Hall at 10.30am, 2pm and 6pm (with free tea and cake) on Monday May 8th, during which I'll be gathering ideas for poems based on what people say. I'll be reading those out at a film show event at the Town Hall on Friday 12th May, starting at 10am. Do please drop by if you're in town. More details:
