Winter poems written by workshop participants on display in Trowbridge Library

Celebrating Age Wiltshire

Delighted to be participating in Celebrating Age Wiltshire, a county-wide project, delivering arts and heritage events in community settings for frail, vulnerable older people unable to access concert halls or theatres.
So far, I have led two poetry workshops about the Winter of 1962-63 in Trowbridge Library, with musician David Moss, and performed the resulting work (participants' poems, group poems, and 'found poems' taken from comments made by participants) at Florence Court in Trowbridge.
This project is made possible by a £99,931 Arts Council England grant and support from the Health & Wellbeing funds from 6 of Wiltshire Council's Area Boards.
CAW offers arts, culture and heritage activities for older people in their own community settings in 6 local areas across Wiltshire (Corsham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Calne, Trowbridge, Amesbury and Salisbury). Rebecca Seymour, our Project Coordinator for CAW is working alongside arts and community organisations to deliver accessible high quality arts events for those who may feel vulnerable or isolated from their community.
