Dawn Gorman believes poetry should be everywhere - puts it on beermats, uses it to
work with people with memory loss, facilitates writing workshops, organises poetry
events and runs international poetry competitions. She is widely published, and has
performed in New York, Paris, London - and lots of smaller places in between.

Award-winning documentary-maker and best-selling author Stewart Binns talks to writer Dawn Gorman about his new series of novels, which explore the impact of WW1 on a large cast of characters including the Churchill family, miners and weavers in Lancashire, and the Stewart-Murrays, a titled family in Scotland. Expect bravery, romance and plenty of surprises. This free event, which is part of the Mere Literary Festival, is one of many strands of the Wiltshire at War: Community Stories project.
