The Pleasure Garden - Poetry Writing Workshop
11th March 2019, 10:00am - 12:00pm, Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN
From the landscaped Gardens of Sallust in Ancient Rome to Bath's own Sydney Gardens, and public parks the length and breadth of the country, the idea of a 'Pleasure Garden' is central to our concept of city living - but what role does nature have in an urban setting, and how can its colours, sounds and textures permeate and inform our poetry for the 21st century? Join Dawn Gorman for a morning's poetry writing workshop at BRSLI, where you will write within the new, collaborative exhibition, The Pleasure Garden.
The workshop will run on two mornings, Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March, 10am - 12 noon. Come to either (or both!).
£5, on the door.
Please email Dawn to reserve your place: firstname.lastname@example.org
Those attending either workshop are invited to return free of charge to read their new work (and earlier, related poems, to fill a 5-minute slot) at the poetry performance evening (7.30-9.30pm, Thursday March 14th).
